https://docs.google.com/a/newberg.k12.or.us/forms/d/1_4vOlgG14OMGwdiXPJjBjop37ZZBb8lClcmgjjl3lOM/viewform You will need to write two paragraphs of about 5-7 sentences each.
Paragraph 1: Describe your country by explaining at least 2-3 of your landforms. Also, include a note about the climate based upon your island’s latitude and longitude. You may include any other relevant details. Feel free to write more than one paragraph if needed. Paragraph 2: Imagine what your branch the TBS headquarters will be like. Explain the building in detail. What does your detective’s office look like? Is it big? Small? Lots of light? Underground? Is the building disguised as something else – like an old warehouse – or is it clearly marked? That would be weird! Click on the link below to check your grades. Fill out your grade check form with the percentage grade in each class. Also, write down any grades that you are missing or that are a 0% or failing. You may make up these grades after school. Be sure to have your form signed by a parent and returned by Friday.

Please read the following article. On a piece of your own paper, note at least three things that you learned from this article that you did not learn in the article handed out in class. Also, write down three additional questions that you still have about the Hyperloop or this type of technology. Create a Google Doc and name it "AM/PM.Core.LastName_DetParagraphFinal." Don't forget to include your complete heading. The name of the assignment is "Final Copy." Please use only Times New Roman or Arial fonts in black. Don't forget to share it with me.
When you are finished, review the landforms presentation. Please work through the entire slideshow at least twice. You may read if you finish everything. When a director creates a film from a novel, they must make certain decisions about the best way to present the information found in the book. Think about a story that you’ve both read in novel form and have seen a film adaptation (i.e. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc). Which version did you like better? If you were the director, what would you have done differently? Do you think they captured the true “feel” of the story?
Answer these questions in at least four well-written paragraphs. I suggest the following outline for your essay: Paragraph I – Introduction (include a topic sentence that clearly states which version you liked more). Paragraph II – What did you like about the novel? Paragraph III – What did you like about the film? Paragraph IV – Why did you like one better than the other? What would you have done differently? Create your essay in a Google Doc and share it with me. Put your heading on a piece of paper. The name of the assignment is "Landforms." Write the definition of at least ten landforms included in this presentation. Also, draw a simple picture of the landform. There's no need to make it fancy.
Take some time and review for your latitude and longitude quiz on Friday. You will need to know the major lines of latitude and longitude. Also, you will need to be able to locate the seven continents and five oceans. Visit Google Earth on your home computer. If you are unable to install the plugins, visit Google Maps. If you right click (or use "Ctrl" and "Click" on a Mac), you can select the "What's here?" option and provide the latitude and longitude. It will be in a slightly different format, but I will accept it.
